You've probably heard of Olapex, it seems to pop up on every Influencer's Insta grid and no doubt your stylist has raved about it in the in the Studio when having your colour done, but what is it and what is all the fuss about?
Olaplex is a hair care system that permanently rebuilds the damaged bonds in your hair that are broken during a chemical process such as colouring. Unlike normal conditioning treatments that just add hydration and smooth hair, Olaplex actually rebuilds it from the inside out!
If you've coloured, highlighted or heat treated your hair over the years then Olaplex lets you rebuild the strength, structure and integrity of your hair. Olaplex is a multi-step, hair strengthening treatment. Some can be used at home and others only in a salon. Olaplex numbers 1 & 2 are only for use in the salon by professionals - you might be familiar with having this during your colour and we use it at Chrissie Pearce Studios in our colour treatments to keep your hair strong and protected.
There are several at-home Olaplex products you can use, all of which we sell both in the Studio and here on our website so you can have them delivered straight to your door.
The at-home Olaplex products are highly recommended for keeping your hair strong, healthy, shiny and manageable. From intensive treatments that celebs like Kim Kardashian swear by, to shampoo and conditioner for your normal wash, all hair types will benefit from using Olaplex.
We love the Olaplex No 3 Hair Protector. This at-home treatment is best used once a week before washing. Apply 1-3 teaspoons to damp hair, comb through and leave for 10-30 minutes (or leave overnight at Kim K swears by!).
Our other favourite (ok, we couldn't pick just one!), is Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oil. This oil doesn't leave hair greasy or weighed down, but it leaves it super shiny whilst also repairing those vital hair bonds for healthier hair.
